Current Job Openings
Care 4 U Community Health Center a nonprofit medical clinic in Miami's inner city—is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide behavioral health services to individuals struggling with mental illness and/or addiction. This position involves collaborating with community resources to develop appropriate treatment and counseling plans, as well as partnering with clients to address their behavioral health needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Discuss issues related to mental illness, substance abuse, trauma, poverty, or other challenges with clients in individual or group therapeutic settings each week.
​

Assess each client’s progress by reviewing treatment goals and marking benchmarks as they are achieved each month.
​

Partner with health center medical staff to design appropriate treatment plans for clients.
​
-
Provide resources to clients and their families for additional services to assist in recovery from mental illness, addiction, or physical conditions.
​

Offer counseling services to family members to help them understand the challenges faced by their relative.
​

Develop expertise in the field by regularly attending workshops, conferences, and meetings.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, psychotherapy, counseling, or a related field (MS, MA, MSW, or M.Ed.).​
-
Licensed by the State of Florida as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
​​

A minimum of two years' experience in conducting individual and group counseling sessions for individuals with mental health/substance abuse disorders.
-
Familiarity with evidence-based practices (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)) and the principles of trauma-informed care.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to serve people in distress and collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines.
-
Ability to apply knowledge and research to clinical problems.
-
Strong writing and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Ability to speak Spanish and/or Creole in addition to English.
-
Knowledge of coding systems (e.g., CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10) for accurate documentation and billing.
-
Enrolled as a provider with Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurance plans.
-
Familiarity with electronic health records systems (eClinical Works a plus).
